Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the BeanHopper mobile application and beanhopper.app (together, the “Service”) operated by BeanHopper (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use BeanHopper. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian.

Your account

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Provide accurate profile information and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

User content

You may post reviews, ratings, photos, lists, comments, and other content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute it as needed to operate and promote the Service.

You represent that you have the rights to post your User Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post unlawful, harassing, hateful, or misleading content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Spam, scrape, or attempt to access the Service through unauthorized means
• Interfere with security, rate limits, or other users’ enjoyment of the Service
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation without our permission

We may remove content, restrict features, or ban accounts that violate these rules or our community standards.

Maps and third-party data

Café locations and related data may come from OpenStreetMap and other open or third-party sources, as well as user contributions. Map tiles on Android are provided by Google Maps; on iOS by Apple Maps. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms.

Advertising

BeanHopper may show ads, including through Google AdMob. Ad content is provided by third parties and we do not endorse advertised products or services.

Intellectual property

The BeanHopper name, logo, app design, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited license to use the Service, no rights are granted to you under these Terms.

Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee that café information, hours, or locations are accurate, complete, or up to date. Use your own judgment when visiting venues.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BEANHOPPER AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where BeanHopper operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply where required.
